Anyone who studies Modern Church History, in special the History of Doctrine, knows about the Modernist – Fundamentalist Controversy that took place in the United States, at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. It lasted for about 50 years, from about 1885 thru 1935.
Around 1910 some rich conservative businessmen sponsored the elaboration and publication of several series of articles that go by the name The Fundamentals. It is very difficult to find a reliable account of who wrote these articles, what their theme was, etc. I am fascinated by this controversy, and have been writing about it for over 50 years now. And have several collections of these articles.
Some time ago I decided to compile a list of the various collections and the articles they contain. I share it here to anyone who may be interested in this controversy who is not over yet, although its heyday is long past.
Collection I – R. A. Torrey; A. C. Dixon; Campbell Morgan. The Fundamentals: A Testimony to the Truth [PRINTED: Baker Books, in FOUR VOLUMES)]
THIS IS THE REFERENCE TO BE USED FOR ANY ARTICLE THAT MENTIONS THE FUNDAMENTALS. All the other collections, PRINTED or KINDLE, have problems, some small, some larger.
